I am an experienced and highly motivated IRATA Level 2 / IRAANZ Level 3
Rope Access Technician with 15 years experience and over 10,000 logged hours. I have experience in a broad range of high-level industrial and commercial applications, including installation of banners, vinyl and fabric roof structures; building painting, cleaning, inspection and maintenance; window cleaning and pest control; glazing.
I am based in Auckland, New Zealand
EXPERIENCE
February 2017 Installation of a Temporary Fabric Roof. The temporary roof structure is being put in place to cover and protect a jump factory during the build of two 27 storey residential tower blocks using permanent modular construction (PMC). PMC accelerates construction with 60-90% of the building completed offsite. The module sections are delivered to site and put in position using the jump factory, which raises up as the construction progresses.
February 2017 Installation of a Temporary Fabric Roof.
2013-2015 High-Level Rope Access Steel Erection, Fireproofing and Painting. Two year contract on the construction of a £500m research facility for incurable diseases. Work included: • Steel erection using ropes in areas inaccessible for MEWPs • Solar panel louver installation • Bespoke painting and fireproofing of steel within glass lifts, calling for precision and attention to detail as these areas are visible to all using the building.
Kings Cross, 2013-2015 High-Level Rope Access Steel Erection, Fireproofing and Painting.
March-May 2012 Painting & Fireproofing of the Iconic Structure. Work included: • Assisting in the installation of mains power and data cables to the observation platform by fixing cables into position. • Fitting turfers with double rope back-up to provide access to enable installation of soil pipes and plumbing from the observation platform to ground level. • Fireproofing and painting all joints.
May 2012 Olympic Rings, Aquatics Centre. Lowering of the Olympic rings and positioning of the Paralympic sign.
May 2012 Large-scale Banner Installation. Installation of two 10x20 metre team banners 50 metres high within the roof structure of the stadium. This required a 3.5 hour aid climb to point, carrying equipment and rescue ropes.
Debris Netting Installation. Aid climb to top and middle, cherry picker to bottom with heavy duty cables ties to secure the netting to the steelwork. The famous Cardington Hangers each measure 812 (L) x 180 (W) x 157(H) ft.
May 2012 Large-scale Vinyl Installation. Vinyl was installed using a 135ft static boom.
